Wokingham
Wokingham
is situated in East Berkshire approximately 30 miles to the west of London
which is within easy reach by car via either the M4 or the M3 and by train
direct to Waterloo Station in a little over one hour. Alternatively
Paddington Station can be reached by travelling via Reading from where the
journey time is about 25 minutes.
Heathrow Airport is a short drive along
the M4 and Gatwick Airport is easily reached via a train service directly
from Wokingham Station.
Both Reading (approximately 7 miles) and
Bracknell (approximately 4 miles) can be easily reached by both road (car
or bus) or rail.
The town centre is renowned for its many
pubs and restaurants and has a selection of shops and supermarkets to suit
everyday needs. A larger selection of shops including the larger
department stores can be found nearby in Reading and
The Oracle shopping centre which also boasts a cinema and several bars and
restaurants.
A large multi screen cinema is also
situated in Winnersh about three miles to the west of Wokingham Town
Centre. There is an indoor swimming pool close to the town centre and
further facilities in Reading and Bracknell.
